WHO AM I?

Who am I? That the Lord of all the earth, would care to know my name, would care to feel my hurt.
Who am I? That the bright and morning star, would choose to light the way, for my ever wandering heart.

Who am I? That the eyes that see my sin would look on me with love and watch me rise again.
Who am I? That the voice that calmed the sea, would call out through the rain, and calm the storm in me.

BRIDGE :

Not because of who I am, but because of what you've done.
Not because of what I've done, but because of who you are.

CHORUS:
I am a flower quickly fading, here today and gone tomorrow,
A wave tossed in the ocean, a vapor in the wind.
Still you hear me when I'm calling, Lord, you catch me when I'm falling,
And you've told me who I am. I am yours.

I love this song. I find my worth in knowing that I belong to God. My greatest comfort is knowing that He loves me.

A letter to Whom I belong.

My dearest God,

When I am in the midst of the multitude, I am just like a grain of sand on the sea shore. I am just another person, another number. I thank you God for knowing me by name. You make me so special.

When loved ones, friends, colleagues even strangers hurt me leaving my heart sometimes shattered … Thank you God for you feel my hurt. I surrender these hurts to you. I just want to be in your embrace, where you are my comforter, my refuge. I have great comfort in knowing that You love me.

When I am lost and confused by the concerns of life – Thank you God for being my Light. Hold me by my hands and lead me through this life. Guard my heart from the distractions of this world that I may not wander from You. Be my guide, my teacher, my counselor.

I confess I have grieved you in so many ways, falling so short of your glory. I cannot hide anything from you. Thank you God for even as your eyes see my sin, you would still look on me with love and help me and watch me rise again.

I confess You are the Sovereign Lord and I enthrone You in my heart. When anxieties fill my heart, may You - the voice that calmed the sea, call out through the rain, and calm the storm in me.

All these are possible because of what you've done and because of who you are. You have died on the cross, that your blood may wash away my sins. And You are my Lord, my God, my Savior.

I am a flower quickly fading, here today and gone tomorrow, a wave tossed in the ocean, a vapor in the wind. Still you hear me when I'm calling, Lord, you catch me when I'm falling, And you've told me who I am.

I AM YOURS….. so comforting and assuring. In You will I trust. Give me faith that I may please You. Give me obedience to obey Your commands and precepts. Give me believe that I may always wait upon You with great expectations of all Your promises which are good for me. I call out to you - My Lord, my God.

Thank you, my Lord.

I LOVE YOU.
